"Shanty Creek was a great place to stay. The room was spacious, clean, and private. The restaurant on site had fun specials after 5 pm and there was a shuttle that took you to the bar in town. Pool area seemed well kept, and so did the grounds in general. I'd totally stay here again. "

"I was in traverse city on a weekend where there were not a lot of hotel rooms available, so I felt lucky to get this one. It was clean, the staff was very kind, and the pool is good. The walls are thin, and the rooms are small, but that’s to be expected in this category of hotel. All in all, it was good for what it is and the staff were so friendly. "

"I stayed at this property for a beach trip with my grandchildren. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were clean. The beach area was well maintained. There were plenty of chairs and towels were available. We received a box breakfast every morning. It was underwhelming but was convenient. The area is very busy but we did not hear street noise in our room. Overall, this is a great place to stay for a beach trip with kids."

"We were on the 2nd floor. No elevator. Rooms were very nice and comfortable. There was no staff on duty. We had a late check in (after 11pm) and there was a notice on the door with the number of the hotel across the street to call if anything was needed. Only waited about 5 minutes for someone to come across to open the registration front door to get us checked in. She was very nice and apologized for the inconvenience."
